Deanne R. Williams Public Policy Fellowship
This fellowship was established in honor of former ACNM executive director Deanne Williams' long and distinguished career in midwifery and public policy. It supports projects and initiatives that advance public policy and advocacy to improve health outcomes for all people and communities through the support of midwifery.
Funding for the first award, which led to the 2010 white paper entitled: "Positioning Midwifery in Health System Reform: A Policy Review" was augmented with funds from The Teresa Marsico Memorial Fund.
